Welcome to The Banner Edit. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the purchase of our products. By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.


1. About Us

The Banner Edit is operated from Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. We specialise in custom fabric banners for weddings, tattoo studios, businesses, and home decor.

2. Orders and Acceptance

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase a custom banner. We will send you an order confirmation email, but this does not mean your order has been accepted.

Your order is accepted, and a contract is formed, when we send you the personalisation form (typically within 24 hours of your order).

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including if product details are inaccurate, if we cannot fulfill the order, or if fraud is suspected.


3. The Design Process

Personalisation Form
Within 24 hours of placing your order, we will email you a personalisation form to collect your design specifications including colours, text, fonts, graphics, layout, and any other custom details.

Digital Mockup
Within 48 hours of receiving your completed personalisation form, we will send you a digital mockup of your banner design.

Design Approval
You may request unlimited revisions to the mockup until you are completely satisfied with the design. Nothing will go to print until you have given your final written approval (via email).

Your Responsibility
You are responsible for carefully reviewing the mockup and approving the final design. Once you have approved the design, we cannot make changes or accept responsibility for errors you have approved (such as spelling mistakes, incorrect dates, or design elements you confirmed).


4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are shown in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.

Payment is taken in full at the time you place your order via our secure payment system.

Shipping costs are calculated and added at checkout based on your delivery address.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, but any changes will not affect orders already placed.


5. Production and Turnaround Time

Our standard turnaround time is approximately 3 to 4 weeks from the date of design approval to dispatch.

Turnaround times are estimates and not guaranteed. We will always do our best to meet these timeframes, but delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances beyond our control.

Rush Orders
If you need your banner sooner than our standard turnaround time, please contact us before placing your order to discuss rush options. Rush orders may incur an additional fee. Please email hello@thebanneredit.co.uk for a quote.


6. Shipping and Delivery

UK Shipping
UK orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked service. You will receive a tracking number once your order is dispatched.

International Shipping
We ship internationally via Royal Mail International Tracked Services. Delivery times vary by location. For expedited international shipping (2 day UPS service), please contact us for a quote before ordering.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes
For international orders, you (the customer) are fully responsible for all import duties, customs charges, taxes, and any other fees imposed by your country. These charges are not included in our pricing and are your responsibility to pay. We cannot predict what these charges will be.

Delivery Delays
We are not responsible for delays caused by courier services, customs clearance, or circumstances beyond our control. If you have a specific deadline, please contact us before ordering to discuss timing.

Failed Deliveries
Please ensure you provide an accurate delivery address. We are not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect addresses provided by you. Reshipment fees may apply.


7. Returns and Refunds

Due to the custom, made to order, and fully personalised nature of our products, we do not accept returns or offer refunds once an order has been placed.

We have a thorough design approval process (including digital mockups and unlimited revisions) to ensure you are completely happy with your banner before it goes to print.

Damaged or Faulty Items
If your banner arrives damaged or has a manufacturing fault, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. We will arrange a replacement at no additional cost to you.

We cannot accept responsibility for damage that occurs after delivery or damage caused by misuse.


8. Intellectual Property and Usage Rights

Design Ownership
All custom designs created by The Banner Edit remain the intellectual property of The Banner Edit. You purchase the physical banner product, not the rights to the design artwork.

You may not reproduce, copy, or recreate the design for commercial purposes or request the design files.

Our Right to Use Images
We reserve the right to photograph finished banners and use these images for marketing purposes including on our website, social media, and promotional materials. If you do not wish for your banner to be featured, please let us know.

Your Content
If you provide us with logos, graphics, or images to include in your banner design, you confirm that you have the legal right to use this content and grant us permission to incorporate it into your banner.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or website.

Our total liability to you for any claim related to your order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be legally limited.


10. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when placing your order
  • Carefully review and approve your banner design mockup
  • Provide a valid delivery address
  • Comply with all applicable laws when using our products
  • Not use our products for any unlawful or inappropriate purposes

11. Communication

By placing an order, you consent to receive emails from us regarding your order, including order confirmations, personalisation forms, design mockups, shipping notifications, and customer service communications.


12. Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Please see our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.


13. Complaints and Disputes

If you have any concerns or complaints about your order, please contact us first via email at hello@thebanneredit.co.uk. We will always do our best to resolve any issues directly with you.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.


14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of our website and services after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to be valid and enforceable.
